I really did not think about writing a children’s book.

Until my beautiful son Michael, who is our youngest child, asked me some pretty big questions about his sister, Elizabeth.

He knew his sister has special needs and he knew about her therapies.

He knew that he worked pretty darn hard each day.

And he knew that he needed to help her sometimes.

But he asked the big questions:

I was looking at the bag of chips that Elizabeth just opened.  Instead of it being opened carefully, it kind of looked like a game of tug-of-war had been played with it.   My guess is that she was in a hurry as she opened it and did not correctly gauge her strength as she opened the bag.

Because that is something that takes thought for people affected by
